Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Experience in housing compliance or a related field, such as Tax Credit Program, HUD, or USDA Rural Development, preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in property management software preferred (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).
  • Knowledge in training and developing others.
  • Dependable transportation and a Smart Phone Cell Phone.
  • Experience with basic office equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and tools.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed indoors in an office environment.
  • PPE provided and safety protocols enforced.
Key Responsibilities: Housing Compliance
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude throughout day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure onsite staff compliance with housing regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain active communication with Site Managers, Regional Managers, and Executive Leadership, as needed.
  • Attend training, conferences, or seminars, when offered, and to be attentive, punctual, and present a professional appearance when representing the company any property.
  • Conduct regular tenant audits and inspections of housing properties to ensure compliance with Tax Credit and Federal Regulations.
  • Review and analyze compliance reports, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement compliance plans for property managers and staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing regulations and standards, including HUD guidelines and Fair Housing laws.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address compliance issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance compliance efforts.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on compliance-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and tenant information and files in our database.
  • Utilize multi-software systems and manage your day flexibly.
  • Additional administrative duties outlined by Executive Leadership Team or Syringa Property Management as needed
