Atlassian Enterprise Migration SME (Jira & Bitbucket)

Job Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional experience leading Atlassian Enterprise platform migrations and complex tenant consolidations.
  • Proficiency in Bitbucket Enterprise architecture and repository migration strategies within global DevOps environments.
  • Experience with Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and executing large-scale multi-instance mergers.
  • Experience in developing custom migration automation and API-driven workflows using Python or Groovy.
  • Experience with Atlassian Access, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID for SSO and SCIM provisioning.
  • Experience in aligning Jira and Bitbucket with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical migration roadmaps and governance strategies to executive stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical consolidation of 10–20 independent Jira environments into a centralized Atlassian Enterprise platform.
  • Orchestrate Bitbucket repository migrations while ensuring continuity for integrated CI/CD pipelines and development teams.
  • Utilize JCMA, REST APIs, and custom scripting to automate data transfers and remediate migration limitations.
  • Design enterprise governance standards for Jira workflows, custom fields, security models, and administrative permissions.
  • Configure Atlassian Access and identity providers to manage global user provisioning and secure authentication.
  • Build API-driven integrations between the Atlassian stack and enterprise platforms like FreshService or Jira Service Management.
  • Develop scalable operating models and technical documentation to ensure long-term platform maintainability and growth.
