Do you want to help shape the future of USRM by translating strategy into action – driving strategic business capability evolution, influencing product and technology roadmaps, and unlocking value across complex systems? This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and technology, empowering leaders to make smarter, capability-driven investment decisions. You will play a key role in advancing our North Star Journey & Capability Framework - our approach to connecting strategy to execution - ensuring it is actionable, consumable, and scalable across a range of stakeholders.

 

As part of the USRM Business Architecture team, you will be responsible for interpreting and contextualizing strategy to execution by developing specific artifacts such as business capability assessments and strategic roadmaps, both within and across business verticals.  You will partner closely with business vertical, product, and technology stakeholders to ensure that we are on a path to our 2030 vision and beyond, while continuing to achieve our year-to-year goals. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides thought leadership to business stakeholders, Experience and Technology partners in building & cultivating a forward-looking business capability map based on the strategic priorities of the organization.
  • Drive roadmaps capturing the sequencing of capability driven investment allocations, aligned technology needs, tradeoffs and simplification opportunities across different portfolios based on value
  • Simplify our business environment by identifying how efforts across functions fit together and via identification of shared capabilities between processes and business units.
  • Collaborates with business, product and technology leaders to develop a strong understanding of the capabilities they support.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team as you manage a portfolio of projects with go-to-market focused and cross-go-to-market and/or enterprise impact. Provides updates to manager and collaborates with manager regarding highly complex matters requiring escalation.
  • Simplify our business environment by identifying how efforts across functions fit together and via reuse identification and business process optimization.
  • Make recommendations regarding the sequencing of technology roadmaps and investment allocations across different portfolios.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in Distribution is preferred.
  • Experience working with both Business and Technology leaders
  • Applied understanding and/or experience of Business Architecture in a large-scale enterprise setting
Qualifications
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and value stream mapping among other process tools
  • Experience working with technology
  • Strong ability to understand linkages between strategy and technology and/or integrating technology with business strategy
  • Ability to establish and build effective relationships across the organization
  • Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in a collaborative and creative way
  • Ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely to technical and business leaders
  • Self driven
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong experimental mindset to drive solutions amongst uncertainty
  • Master`s degree preferred with minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in business, technology and/or consulting
  • Expert skills in Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with Technology Portfolio Management and Governance
  • Experience developing and implementing technology governance solutions
  • Six Sigma, Agile and/or Project Management certifications

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
