Business Development Manager - Disaster Restoration

What You Do

As a Business Development Manager, you help communities rebuild after fires, storms, floods, and other emergencies. This isn’t traditional sales - it requires urgency, trust-building, and a service-first mindset. Depending on level and territory, you will:

  • Drive Growth 
    • Proactively prospect through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events
    • Build a consistent pipeline using Salesforce with strong data discipline
    • Deliver solution-based presentations that demonstrate why Kustom is the trusted partner when disaster strikes

  • Build Deep, Trust-Based Relationships
    • Engage with decision-makers across commercial, industrial, and residential markets
    • Become a first call when clients experience a property loss - calm, reliable, and ready to help
    • Represent Kustom’s values with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
  • Collaborate Across Teams
    • Work closely with local and/or national operations to ensure seamless project handoff
    • Partner with estimators, operations leaders, and emergency response teams to exceed client expectations
    • Bring insights from the field to help identify new markets, service opportunities, and competitive gaps
  • Stay Ahead of the Industry
    • Monitor trends, competitor activity, and high-risk opportunities (weather, local activity, etc.)
    • Identify growth potential inside verticals like hospitality, healthcare, senior living, multifamily, storage, and more
