Communications Manager

The Role The Communications Manager is responsible for shaping, executing, and elevating YA’s internal and external communications strategy. This role leads internal and external communications, corporate messaging, and media relations that strengthen YA’s brand and support its continued growth. In This Role, You Will Internal Communications Develop and lead a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports key initiatives, strengthens organizational alignment, and enhances employee engagement Create and deliver firmwide communications, including executive messaging, company announcements, and the bi-weekly employee newsletter Plan and execute quarterly firmwide meetings, partnering with executive leadership to shape content, develop presentations, and manage logistics for a large virtual audience Support change management initiatives through clear, effective, and timely communication Partner cross-functionally and with leadership to ensure messaging is aligned, consistent, and impactful External Communications Lead external communications efforts, including press releases, media outreach, and responses to media inquiries Support merger and acquisition communications, including internal announcements, client messaging, and external press materials Partner with subject matter experts to develop and elevate thought leadership content such as articles, white papers, and speaking engagements Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitive positioning to inform communication strategies Brand & Communication Excellence Maintain a clear and consistent brand voice across all communication channels Ensure all communications reflect company values, culture, and commitment to excellence Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field 5–8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role; professional services or engineering industry experience preferred Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences (AP Style proficiency preferred) Experience managing internal communications, executive messaging, and change management initiatives Experience supporting communications for mergers and acquisitions Demonstrated success developing and executing media relations strategies Familiarity with thought leadership development and collaborating with subject matter experts Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Teams Working knowledge of PR and media platforms such as Cision, Meltwater, or PRNewswire Strong discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering high-quality work on deadline Who We Are YA Group is an international professional services organization providing forensic consulting, engineering, risk mitigation, and related services.
