Responsibilities

  • Designs new and old store decorative fixture packages, to include, setting up displays for management approval, taking photographs or drafting displays to insure proper installation at the job site, maintaining inventory of fixtures, and packing the fixtures for shipment.
  • Installs decor packages. Travels to the location, unloads the truck, inventories the fixtures into locations, and supervises contracted carpenters to insure fixtures are installed to company standards.
  • Installs fixtures.
  • Maintains accurate expense, time, and store report records.
  • Builds props, display cases, shelves and shadowboxes as needed for the decorative fixture packages.
  • Sets up and takes down the display area for displaying fixtures using blueprints.
  • Cleans, repairs, secures, restores, and modifies decor in order to return the item to its original appearance, and modify, if necessary, in order for it to function properly for its intended use and location.
  • Assists in the receiving of new decor into the warehouse by unloading trucks, placing items into the proper storage area, and bar-coding decor to assure accurate inventory.
  • Ordering supplies for restoration and installation of decor as well as maintaining appropriate levels of both.
  • Maintains the decor Warehouse by sweeping, emptying trash, straightening shelves, and picking up personal work area.
  • Cuts various styles of picture frame molding, glass and assembly of frames for paper advertisements
  • Misc. Maintenance dept. duties as required to include cardboard removal from all buildings, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, painting in all buildings.
