Reporting to the Vice President of AI & Intelligent Automation Delivery, this position drives the continuous delivery of AI use cases and Intelligent Automation solutions using Scrum methodology. The Scrum Master ensures operational teams can rapidly ideate, build, and release automation capabilities that advance Circana's zero-touch, AI-enabled operating model.</span></p> <p><span>Circana is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the Operations team in delivering AI use cases and Intelligent Automation initiatives at pace and scale. Using Scrum as the primary delivery methodology, this role enables cross-functional Operations squads to continuously plan, build, test, and release automation solutions, from micro-automations to AI-powered workflows. The Scrum Master will work closely with Operations leads, Value Stream Process Owners, data scientists, and automation engineers to maintain a healthy delivery cadence, remove blockers, and ensure each sprint produces tangible business value. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands both Agile delivery and the operational complexity of deploying AI and automation in a live production environment.</span></p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong><span>Agile Facilitation:</span></strong><span> Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Ensure meetings are focused, time-boxed, and outcome-driven with a particular focus on sprint-based delivery of AI use cases and automation builds within the Operations team.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Impediment Removal:</span></strong><span> Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments that block the delivery of AI use cases or automation releases. Escalate systemic issues — such as data access gaps, tooling limitations, or cross-team dependencies</span></li> <li><strong><span>Coaching & Mentorship:</span></strong><span> Coach team members, Value Stream Process Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles. Champion a growth mindset and support the continuous development of Agile maturity across the organization.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Metrics & Reporting:</span></strong><span> Track and communicate key Agile metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time, and team health. Provide data-driven insights to the VP and leadership to inform planning and decision-making.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Dependency & Risk Management:</span></strong><span> Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks. Collaborate with Program Managers and Release teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution across Agile Release Trains or program increments.</span></li> <li><strong><span>Continuous Improvement:</span></strong><span> Drive retrospective action items and foster a culture of inspect-and-adapt. Lead initiatives to improve team processes, delivery practices, and ways of working across the Agile portfolio.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification required.</li> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with at least 2 years supporting technology, data, or operations teams delivering automation or AI-driven solutions. Demonstrated experience running Scrum ceremonies for continuous delivery pipelines. Familiarity with AI/ML project delivery lifecycles and intelligent automation programs is strongly preferred.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps. Working knowledge of intelligent automation technologies such as RPA, OCR, ETL pipelines, and AI/ML platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Python, Airflow, or equivalent). Understanding of CI/CD principles and how they apply to automation and AI use case deployment in operational environments.</li> <li><strong>Leadership and Soft Skills:</strong> Strong servant leadership mindset with the ability to influence without authority. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to foster psychological safety, team cohesion, and a culture of accountability. Analytical and data-driven approach to continuous improvement.</li> <li><strong>Other Requirements:</strong> Experience working in data analytics, market research, or SaaS environments preferred. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
