Dock Supervisor

<strong>Shift: </strong>2nd (1:30 PM - 10:30 PM)<br><br><strong>Job Summary: </strong>The Dock Supervisor assists the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of the operation. This includes but is not limited to, maintaining the accuracy and productivity of vehicle loading and unloading, processing of pallets, personnel management, assisting with building and equipment maintenance, producing reports, and paperwork.<br><br><strong>Job Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Directly supervises 10 - 30 employees within the Depot.</li><li>Indirectly supervises 1-2 employees within the Depot’s office.</li><li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.</li><li>Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; equipment responsibilities ensuring others are inspected/maintained/clean; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. </li><li>Has direct oversight of all inbound and outbound loads.</li><li>Key holder, responsible for opening or closing the facility.</li><li>Ensures all receiving, inspection, DBR QC, priority load quality and put away processes are performed correctly and completed daily.</li><li>Oversees all outbound loads, providing a final quality check, ensuring that shipments are made on schedule to meet the Customer’s needs.</li><li>Shifts employee’s tasks as needed to handle spikes in the workload to remain current. Will perform some of the work as required from time to time.</li><li>Ensures accurate Inbound Sort Worksheets and TDS Repair quantities when needed.</li><li>Ensures Equipment and Machines are clean, inspected, safe, and operating correctly.</li><li>Provides ongoing coaching and training to all workers to ensure processes are performed correctly and on time.</li><li>Provides feedback to Manager as it relates to KPIs.</li><li>Makes recommendations to Manager related to staffing, best practices, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Participates in the employee’s annual performance reviews.</li><li>Promotes a clean, sanitary and safe working environment at all times. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 12 lbs, lift, stand and carry consistently, have proper hearing, vision and speech capabilities. Can wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields).
