Are you a team player who excels at collaborating across internal teams?</p><p></p><p>Guardian is seeking a Group Benefits <b><span>Sales Executive</span></b> who will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our largest brokers and consulting houses to drive ongoing sales and retention of groups primarily in the large market segment.</p><p></p><p>Success will be determined based on the ability to attain high levels of production through tenacious broker development and internal relationships. A Guardian Sales Executive should be the resource of choice for brokers and their clients This role will report to the Market Leader within the assigned territory.</p><p></p><p><b><span>You will:</span></b></p><p></p><ul><li>Market, position, and sell Guardian’s Group Benefits products and technology solutions to large market brokers and consulting houses. This includes Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products.</li><li>Support the general wellbeing of the broker and client relationship for the development and growth of Guardian sales and client retention.</li><li>Understand local territory dynamics to build, develop and maintain broker relationships to grow the book of business while representing Guardian’s vision to inspire well-being.</li><li>Be accountable for consistently achieving or exceeding personal sales production by creating growth with large regional and national broker consultants and implementing sales strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to examine market trends and stay ahead of consumer demands.</li><li>Represent Guardian by acting as a market leader, sharing thought leadership and maintaining strong community relationships.</li><li>Identify, recommend and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to increase sales of product offerings.</li><li>Achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of date of hire and maintain license through completing Continuing Education requirements.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>You Have:</span></b> </p><p></p><ul><li>A BS, BA degree or equivalent industry experience</li><li>A minimum of 10 years’ previous group insurance sales experience or a combination of Guardian work experience, education and/or related extracurricular activities</li><li>Experience working with large, complex national accounts along with large Regional and national broker consultants</li><li>Experience and knowledge of relevant industry products and processes including, but not limited to Worksite, LTD, Dental products, complex absence products, experience rating, dental network analysis processes</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Soft Skills:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Collaborative team player with the ability to effectively build rapport in person and virtually.</li><li>Exercise sound judgement and integrity in a changing, matrixed, and fast past environment.</li><li>Exude confidence, positivity, and proactivity.</li><li>Act with accountability to deliver on commitments with speed and quality.</li><li>Team player with ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization and customer orientation.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Location and Travel:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Preferred location will be the San Francisco / Northern California area; will also consider qualified applicants in Washington and Oregon</li><li>Approximately 50-60% travel within the assigned territory</li></ul><p></p><div><p></p><p></p><p><u><b>Base Salary:</b></u><br>$75,000<br>​<br>The salary reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position.
