Company Description Laundry Aide / Custodian / Housekeeping Start Date: ASAP, we have a new employee orientation class starting soon Hourly Wage: $18.00/hr + benefits Shift: 7a-3p, part-time (2-3 shifts per week) Schedule: weekdays with an every other weekend rotation (Sat & Sun) Community Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for adults who need extra support. Some of our residents are here short term to recover after surgery or illness. Others live with us long term, including those with Alzheimer’s or memory loss.

We also have a unit that cares for those suffering from mental illness. Every person here depends on us, and we take that responsibility to heart.

Job Description You Make a Real Difference Every Day Having a clean space matters. Especially in healthcare. As a Housekeeper (or Custodian) in our medical center, you help create a safe, welcoming environment where residents can heal and feel at home.

Your work supports dignity, comfort, and recovery every single day. What you’ll do: Clean and maintain resident rooms and common areas Empty trash, clean bathrooms, wash windows and laundry, and care for floors Vacuum, sanitize, and prepare rooms for new residents Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the building Note - this position is primarily assigned to Laundry: Laundry of bed and other linens as well as resident clothing Why you’ll love this job: Pride in work that truly matters Be part of a healthcare team that helps people heal Enjoy a supportive, friendly workplace Qualifications Housekeeping Aide: Officially we title this job a Housekeeping Aide, but in other centers it may be called a Housekeeper, Janitor, Custodian, Environmental Services Assistant (EVS) or a Laundry Aide.

What we need from you: At least 1 year similar experience in a medical / healthcare facility or commercial cleaning setting (strongly preferred) Must be 18 years of age or older AND hold a High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills Understanding of Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) safety and sanitation rules Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check. This position will require extended periods of walking and standing to perform duties Housekeepers and janitors are just as important as doctors and nurses in keeping the facility running. You will work with a team that appreciates and respects the work you do every day.
