You will provide expertise and solutions in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, training, employment practice, performance management, compensation and legal compliance. You’ll work collaboratively under the direction of the HR Director in delivering programs that foster HR excellence and continuous improvement.</p><p></p><p><b><span>This role will have a strong focus on employee relations including coaching leadership through employee issues and interacting with our large hourly workforce.  Similar industry experience with <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">multi-state/locations</span> and bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.</span></b></p><p></p><p><b>What you’ll do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Proactively work with employees and managers to address workplace issues/concerns</p></li><li><p>Review and make recommendations on performance issues, FMLA, and worker’s comp</p></li><li><p>Partner with managers by providing guidance and support that will enable and foster achievement of department goals</p></li><li><p>Promote employee engagement survey, provide guidance to management reviewing results and developing and implementing action plans to drive improvement in opportunity areas</p></li><li><p>Promote involvement and activities in support of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)</p></li><li><p>Work with HR Director on leadership and succession planning initiatives as well as other training and development initiatives</p></li><li><p>Deliver HR related content to managers and employees, such as performance management, career development, new HR programs, etc.</p></li><li><p>Support field HR Director in facilitating the annual performance and compensation process</p></li><li><p>Provide guidance to managers, in conjunction with corporate compensation in making recommendations for merit and bonus</p></li><li><p>Support field Recruiters and HR Managers by providing tools and resources to increase the applicant pool</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources Management or related field preferred</p></li><li><p>PHR certification or SHRM-CP completion preferred</p></li><li><p>2-4 years broad HR <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">representative/generalist</span> experience in all facets of HR with a strong background in employee relations and employment practices</p></li><li><p>Proficient in workplace investigations and able to work in a confidential and discrete manner</p></li><li><p>Strong written/verbal communication skills, ability to present to all levels within the organization</p></li><li><p>Technical HR knowledge – EEO/AA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, federal/local laws</p></li><li><p>Strong working knowledge of positive employee relations as well as disciplinary processes</p></li><li><p>Excellent assessment and interviewing skills</p></li><li><p>Strong <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">interpersonal/influencing</span> skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to both collaborate and lead on projects</p></li><li><p>Proficient in MS Office(Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS/payroll systems (Workday preferred)</p></li><li><p><b>50% to 60% travel</b> to include air, over and multi-night stay, often on short notice</p></li><li><p>Bilingual in Spanish preferred</p></li><li><p>Can be based anywhere in the United States near a major airport with preference given to those on the West Coast</p></li></ul><h1><i><b>Why join us?</b></i></h1><p style="text-align:left !important">We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
