Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reference Data Services Representative. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our reference data, which underpins various critical business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate setup, maintenance, and validation of static and dynamic reference data across multiple systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic MBA fresher to gain hands-on experience in financial data management within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all mandatory reports in a timely manner and to required standard
  • Perform daily operations related to the creation, modification, and deletion of reference data (e.g., securities, legal entities, counterparties, market data).
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by adhering to established data governance policies and procedures.
  • Validate data inputs against source documents and internal systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk Management, and Technology teams, to address reference data requirements and issues.
  • Participate in testing for system enhancements, upgrades, and new data initiatives.
  • Document processes, procedures, and data definitions to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data quality.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements pertaining to reference data management.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree preferred
  • Strong academic record, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets, instruments, and operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
