Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategist - Permanent work from home

About the position

Lightspeed is seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategist to join their team in Manila. This is a permanent work-from-home position. The SEO Strategist will be responsible for supporting the growth and visibility of Lightspeed across EMEA markets through technical SEO execution, content optimization, and proactive website management. The role involves improving organic search performance by maintaining website health, implementing SEO best practices within WordPress, and supporting initiatives in technical SEO, entity optimization, and AI-driven search experiences. The strategist will collaborate with SEO, content, marketing, and development teams to create scalable strategies for both traditional and generative search environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical SEO initiatives across EMEA websites, including crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and site structure improvements.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and SEMrush, helping identify and resolve issues.
  • Monitor website health and SEO performance through GA4, Google Search Console, and other reporting platforms.
  • Implement SEO updates within WordPress, including metadata, redirects, URL management, and page optimization.
  • Optimize on-page content and perform keyword research to improve organic visibility and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and development teams to embed SEO best practices into web projects.
  • Support structured data, schema markup, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) initiatives to strengthen visibility across traditional and AI-driven search experiences.
  • Stay informed on emerging SEO and AI search trends, sharing insights and opportunities with the wider team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an SEO-focused role, ideally within a multi-market or international environment.
  • Hands-on experience with technical SEO, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, and internal linking optimization.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms for audits and performance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Strong experience managing and optimizing websites within WordPress CMS.
  • Solid understanding of on-page SEO, including keyword research, metadata optimization, content structure, and schema markup.
