In this role you will provide strategy and program leadership to support Verizon Connect channel sales initiatives in the market. This includes driving local operations initiatives, developing and executing channel specific sales strategies, scaling key learnings, and best practices for all channel segments. This role is responsible for selling company products and services via indirect channel partners. The role recruits, onboards and enables channel partners to be successful in the sale of Verizon Connect Solutions in the marketplace. This generates sales and revenue by developing channel partner relationships and connecting customers with targeted solutions via Verizon Connect referral, resale, alliance and marketplace channel partners. As a synergistic component, serves as a critical link between the development and the execution of the sales strategy and channel go-to-market strategy. Frequently participates in the development of sales and service strategies. Provide operational support to Verizon Connect channel and customer segment sales teams. Define and support internal processes and procedures while facilitating the development of channel partner relationships. Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and/or reporting of data relating to business groups being supported. Support and enable frontline channel and customer segment sales teams to sell more effectively and efficiently via indirect routes to market. Provide information, data, materials and tools that facilitate strategic channel partner strategy direction, delivering on the customer experience, and strengthening the Brand. Identify, develop and implement best in class channel programs, sales and support systems, processes, procedures and policies. Provide Tier 1 field support for the channel and customer segment sales organization for systems and process, driving digital through desktop and mobility tools, and employee onboarding experience. Deliver operational excellence and experience to enable channel and customer segment sales teams to deliver CVs. Identify market voice of the channel partner, customer, voice of the employee, and best practices to serve as upstream influence for program improvements to achieve greatest benefits/efficiencies in all routes to market for indirect customers and partners. Field execution of channel programs, processes, policies, strategy development, and execution of indirect go-to-market motions. Partner with HQ Sales Ops teams to scale channel programs to achieve greater impact. Build executable strategies that drive channel partner and customer revenue growth. Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of channel operations, channel program management and channel processes and policies. Ensure initiative integration with a channel-centric mindset. The location of this role is flexible within the East Coast/Central US. What we’re looking for... You’re a results-driven channel sales pro that not only knows how to close sales, but can help develop and motivate others to do the same. You enjoy building positive relationships with your customers, and you have the business sense to really understand their challenges. You’ve got the executive presence to connect with C-suite leaders. You think on your feet, read people well, and communicate optimally. You’ll need to have Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Experience managing Channel Partners and Channel Programs. Experience managing large multi-faceted complex relationships. Deep understanding of indirect routes to market. High tech industry experience, preferably SaaS. Even better if you have one or more of the following Master’s degree. Understanding of SaaS and recurring revenue model Managed a sales team. Ideally, developed and motivated a team. Experience designing, proposing, selling, and contracting for complex technical solutions. Led a geographically dispersed team. Juggled multiple large scale projects, sales, and negotiations.
