Senior Recruitment Consultant

The Senior Recruitment Consultant will identify, open, and develop new market opportunities within a proactive sales environment. This role requires building technical expertise, maintaining strong market awareness, and managing client and candidate expectations.

A key responsibility is contributing to team growth while acquiring new clients, retaining existing accounts, and supporting their progression to Solution-level partnerships.

The Sales Consultant will work closely with their manager to achieve personal objectives and deliver excellent commercial outcomes.

Previous experience of working within a recruitment agency as a recruitment consultant is required.

This role is for our Iberia Office and the successful person will need to be based in or around the Madrid area in Spain and will be expected to be able to be in our offices 2-4 times per month.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Proactively develop new business opportunities through marketing calls, client visits, presentations, and networking at industry events.

  • Drive Gattaca plc’s penetration into new accounts by delivering exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

  • Support the growth and progression of clients towards Solution relationships.

  • Generate, follow up, and share sector-specific leads.

  • Offer specialist support to CDM or Enterprise clients where required.

Candidate Attraction & Delivery

  • Identify potential candidates to fulfil client requirements within the sector.

  • Where appropriate, utilise Delivery Consultants to meet client needs and maximise focus on business development.

  • Use innovative and varied attraction strategies including job boards, referrals, database searches, and headhunting.

  • Build strong candidate networks and maintain hotlists.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to candidate care and ongoing database development.

Market & Technical Expertise

  • Build and share technical knowledge and market awareness with colleagues, clients, and candidates.

  • Stay informed on industry developments and competitive landscape.

Team Contribution & Coaching

  • Work closely with the Manager to meet team and personal objectives.

  • Contribute to the overall sector strategy and development.

  • Support new Sales Consultants through at-desk coaching as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Competent in ATS, CRMs Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

  • Experience in the Recruitment industry and Talent Acquisition activities

  • Experience with sales and business development related to recruiting

  • Conversational English

  • Nice to have, experience in Reporting & Analytics tools
