Senior WebXR Engineer (WebGL, Three.js)

About the position

We are building the next generation of Spatial Media - a new way people experience videos through interaction, multi-user presence, haptics, AI, and immersive storytelling. DeoVR is the leading immersive streaming technology serving multiple enterprise customers and millions of users globally. We are now expanding the boundaries of what video can be - moving from passive watching to active, interactive, multi-user journeys. The Role We are looking for a Senior WebXR Engineer to help us build next-generation immersive web experiences across our global VR video streaming ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of WebXR, real-time 3D rendering, and web performance engineering, building products used by millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Build immersive WebXR applications for VR and web platforms
  • Develop interactive 3D experiences using WebGPU
  • Design and optimize real-time rendering pipelines for performance and scalability
  • Integrate WebXR experiences with existing backend systems and APIs
  • Work with third-party SDKs to extend product capabilities
  • Debug, test, and optimize performance across desktop, mobile, and VR devices
  • Track and implement evolving WebXR standards and experimental features
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Use AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Frontend, Fullstack, or WebXR Engineer
  • Solid proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with WebGL and WebGPU
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design
  • Experience working with Node. js
  • Good foundation in computer science and mathematics
  • Understanding of real-time rendering and performance optimization
  • Experience integrating external APIs or SDKs
  • Strong debugging and profiling skills for web applications
  • Interest or hands-on experience in WebXR or immersive web technologies
  • Fluent in English and Russian

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep experience with WebXR APIs (including experimental features)
  • Advanced render engine architecture experience
  • Shader programming (WGSL)
  • XR / VR / AR development background
  • Experience working with large-scale media or streaming platforms
