Software Development Engineer in Test II

<p style="text-align:left"><b>ABOUT THIS POSITION</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Right now, we are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven SDET to join our growing team. The SDET is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Software Engineers to troubleshoot issues. The SDET will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. Also, the SDET works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>WHAT YOU'LL DO</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Test Planning & Execution</b></p><ul><li><p>Analyze user stories and functional requirements to create detailed test plans.</p></li><li><p>Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.</p></li><li><p>Document and maintain test cases and results.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Automation</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and service layers.</p></li><li><p>Convert complex manual test cases into automated tests using Automation stack such as Selenium and C# Nunit, Postman, Jmeter, etc</p></li><li><p>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Defect Management</b></p><ul><li><p>Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Collaboration</b></p><ul><li><p>Participate in Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Application Engineers and Product Owners to ensure quality standards.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Technical Analysis</b></p><ul><li><p>Write SQL scripts for backend validation and data integrity checks.</p></li><li><p>Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.</p></li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><p>Additional duties as assigned </p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>WHAT YOU'LL NEED</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in:</p><ul><li><p><b>Automation tools and Frameworks:</b>  Selenium Playwright, C#, Nunit</p></li><li><p><b>Testing tools:</b> Postman, Azure DevOps.</p></li><li><p><b>Databases:</b> SQL Server, MySQL</p></li><li><p><b>Test Management :</b> Zephyr, Azure Test plans</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
